Our After School Program Compassionate Heart Ministry offers an after-school program twice per week, which provides:
- -Crafts
- -Games
- -Recreation
- -Devotions
Mentors help guide teens and young adults in finding their place in the close-knit puzzle of God's family. This program begins and ends with free time, giving individuals the opportunity to grow in creativity while building friendships in a relaxed and joyful surrounding. Participants can also use their time to receive help with school work or personal projects from mentors eager to assist.
Schedule this fall/winter 2009-2010:
Tuesdays 3-8 p.m. (supper in cafe--$4-$6 suggested donation)
Thursdays 3-8 p.m. (supper in cafe--$4-$6 suggested donation)
Open to youth ages 14 to 26. Cost is $5.00 per visit.


Summer Serve Project 2010
Compassionate Heart Ministry was "birthed" from a community service project involving young adults with disabilities. During this week-long project, the participants work, live, and serve side-by-side with their peers and a personally assigned mentor. Activities include:
Every evening, all partcipants join together for meals, fun and an energetic worship service. The Serve projects gives those with disabilities a retreat from their everyday lives and an experience marked with challenge, growth, support and compassion where needed.
